Invicta Pro Diver 30481 (Rolex Homage)

Originally established in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1837 by Jean-Luc Raphael Picard, Invicta (Latin for “invincible”) quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality timepieces. Due to multiple reasons, it went out of business in the late 80ties. Fortunately, it was soon re-established in 1991 in Hollywood, Florida, under a new ownership.

Although some Invicta watches have unique designs that feature oversized cases, vibrant colors and intricate dial designs, the vast majority of them are homages of various Rolex models. Because of the latter, the opinions about Invicta are SHARPLY divided among watch enthusiasts – some love this brand because it produces affordable watches of decent quality, while others hate it because they copy Rolex’ designs. For us normal people, like you and me, this is completely irrelevant – all we want is a good-looking watch that won’t die 24 hours after purchase.

So…the first women’s dive watch on the list, is the Invicta Pro Diver 30481 (seen in the picture below), a homage of the Rolex Submariner. It’s powered by a Japanese-made Seiko PC32A quartz movement which is set in a 38 mm wide, 11 mm thick, 2.5 oz heavy stainless-steel case with a screw locked back that’s able to withstand a pressure of 10 ATM (making it suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but not diving). Its other key features are a …:

 Invicta 30481 gold blue

(1) … unidirectional aluminum bezel with printed markings and a lume pip at 12 located within a triangle. The hammerhead between is 15 and 20 second marks on the bezel is quite an interesting detail!

(2) … stainless-steel strap with fold over safety clasp.

(3) … push crown and a hardened mineral glass with cyclops at 3 o’clock position.

(4) … dial with fluorescent rounded hour markers with variations at 6, 9 (rectangular bars) and 12 o’clock (triangle) positions and a date complication at 3 o’clock position.

(5) … fluorescent syringe hour hand and a pointed baton minute hand.

The Invicta 30481 comes in two colors – blue/gold (which you’ve already seen) and gold (with a blue bezel, seen in the picture below). If you’re looking for a cheap Rolex Submariner homage or for a watch that can be worn on every occasion imaginable (work, dates, a causal night out), then this watch is the one that I’d recommend buying!

Invicta Pro Diver 8942 (Smaller Rolex Homage)

In case you like(d) the Invicta 30481 but it find too big for your wrist, too blingy for your taste or can’t stand hammerheads (which is perfectly fine, don’t worry 🙂 ), then her smaller sister, the Invicta Pro Diver 8942, is a GREAT alternative!

Invicta Pro Diver 8942

The Invicta Pro Diver 8942 is 61 g heavy and is set in a 24.5 mm wide, 11 mm thick steel and gold tone stainless-steel case with a screw locked back that’s able to withstand a pressure of 10 ATM (making it suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but not diving). It’s powered by a Japanese-made Seiko PC32A quartz movement and its other key features are a …:

(1) … unidirectional aluminum bezel with printed markings and a lume pip at 12 located within a triangle.

(2) … silver and steel tone stainless-steel strap with fold over safety clasp.

(3) … push crown and a hardened mineral glass with cyclops at 3 o’clock position.

(4) … dial with fluorescent rounded hour markers with variations at 6, 9 (rectangular bars) and 12 o’clock (triangle) positions and a date display at 3 o’clock position.

(5) … fluorescent syringe hour hand and a pointed baton minute hand.

Invicta Pro Diver 8939

In case you prefer colors other than blue/gold, there’s another model of this size in silver and black, the Invicta Pro Diver 8939 (seen in the picture above). Whichever one you decide to choose, you can be certain that you’re going to like it!

Invicta Pro Diver 21397 (Most Blinged-out)

The next and final Invicta watch on this list (I swear 🙂 ) is the Invicta Pro Diver 21397. If you’re looking for a blingy, luxurious-looking watch while breaking the bank, then this watch is something that may interest you 🙂 .

 Invicta Pro Diver 21397

129 g heavy, the Invicta Pro Diver 21397 is set in a 38 mm wide and 12.2mm thick gold tone stainless-steel case that’s able to withstand a pressure of 10 ATM (more than enough for a watch of this design) and is powered by a Japanese-made Seiko PC32A quartz movement. Its other key features are a …:

(1) … stationary gold tone stainless steel bezel accented with 30 crystals.

(2) … gold toned stainless steel strap with fold over safety clasp.

(3) … screw in crown and a hardened mineral glass with a cyclops at 3 o’clock position.

(4) … gold dial with Arabic numbers (numbers 6 and 12 are accented with crystals) and a date display at 3 o’clock position.

(5) … fluorescent Mercedes hour hand and a pointed baton minute hand.

Invicta Pro Diver 15253

If you prefer Roman instead of Arabic numbers, then the Invicta Pro Diver 15253 (in gold tone, seen in the image above) and the Invicta Pro Diver 15253 (in rose gold tone, seen in the image below) are worth of your consideration.

Fossil FB-01 (Most Attractive & Giftable)

I, like probably many of you, sometimes like to make fun of my dad by giving him various nicknames (the latest one is “Bear” because he’s, as we say in Croatian, obese like a bear). Unlike yours truly, a small-time Texan businessman Tom Kartsotis went a million steps further by renaming his company, Overseas Products International, to Fossil after his father’s nickname – “Fossil”. As of time of this writing, Fossil is one the biggest watch manufacturers in the world and the Fossil FB-01 is one of their more popular models.

Like her male counterpart, most variants of the Fossil FB-01 (like the one in the picture below) are too attractive and stylish to be used for swimming and diving (despite it being more than able to handle those kinds of activities). In my opinion, most variants are more appropriate to wear in casual and formal settings where they’ll help you to get noticed. They’re also great for first dates.

Fossil FB-01 pink

The Fossil FB-01 is set in a 36 mm wide, 10 mm thick and around 2.5 oz heavy stainless-steel case with a screw locked back that’s able to withstand a pressure of 10 ATM and is powered by a Japanese-made quartz movement from Miyota. Its other key features are a …:

(1) … fixed stainless-steel bezel.

(2) … screw in crown and a hardened mineral glass with a cyclops at 3 o’clock position.

(3) … dial with round hour markers with variations at 6, 9 (rectangular bars) and 12 o’clock (triangle) positions and a date display at 3 o’clock position.

(4) … sword hour hand and a pointed baton minute hand.

Fossil FB-01 white

As of time of this writing, the Fossil FB-01 is available in 15 different variants, the most attractive and feminine models being those with a pink and white silicone straps and dials – perfect for a night out and dates (but not too office friendly). In case you prefer something something more office friendly, there are silver (with a silver bezel) and gold- tone (with a green bezel) stainless – steel variants available as well!

Fossil engraving

In case you want your Fossil FB-01 to be a memento of some special event (graduation, wedding and so on) or a TRULY special gift to someone you appreciate and/or love, then I suggest buying it from Fossil’s official store instead of Amazon. Why? Because they offer free engraving. In the picture above, you can see how an engravement on a Fossil FB-01 looks like.

Casio LRW200H (Cheapest)

Founded in 1946 in Tokyo, the Casio corporation is known for its high-quality and affordable electronics (such as calculators), musical instruments and watches like the legendary Casio F91W and the Casio LRW200H – the cheapest and the last in my list of the best women’s dive watches under $100. If you’re a sportswoman or frequent traveler exploring new areas, then this watch is ideal for you.

Despite being made mostly of plastic and raisin, the Casio LRW200H, like all other watches on this list, can handle high impact (water), swimming and snorkeling (but not diving). What REALLY sets it apart from others is its very low (usually around $30) price – in case you ever lose it, no big deal!

Casio LRW200H white

The Casio LRW200H is powered by the 3363 module (its manual can be found here) and is set in a 33 mm wide, 12 mm thick and around 2.89 oz heavy plastic case with a 4-screws stainless steel back screw locked back that’s able to withstand a pressure of 10 ATM. Its other key features are a …:

(1) … 16 mm wide raisin band (of various colors) with a buckle closure.

(2) … bidirectional rotating bezel with markings.

(3) … screw in crown and a hardened mineral glass.

(4) … dial with a date display at 3 o’clock position and non-fluorescent hour markers (of various types depending on model) and usually variations at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock positions (again, model dependent). For example, the white/red color variant of this watch (seen in the picture above) has Arabic numerals and a additional 24hr index on the dial, whereas its black counterpart (which you can see in the picture below) has rounded hour markers with variations at 6, 9 (rectangular bars) and 12 o’clock (trapezoid).

(5) … fluorescent syringe hour hand and a pointed baton minute hand.

Casio LRW200H  black

As of time of this writing, the Casio LRW200H comes in ten different variations (black, pink, white/red, white and so on), all of which cost roughly the same. Like I said before…don’t let their small price discourage you – for that price, you’ll get a quality watch from a reputable company and not some junk that’ll fall apart in 3 days.

Also, it’s important to mention that the Casio LRW200H, being 33 mm wide, is also suitable for small children. If you want them to learn how to take care of items, this watch is ideal for that – if they lose it, simply click this link and a new one will magically appear in a few days.

#2 – Some Final Words

So there you have it, the best women’s dive watches under (and slightly over) $100 you can buy. No matter which one you chose to buy, each of them is going to have some pros and cons.

Some models are too big, others too small.

Some models are too formal, others too casual.

However… all of them have one thing in common – a relatively good quality. If properly cared for, each of them is going to last for quite a long time (and may even outlive you)!
